Since the beginning, Modus Architects' mission has been simple, focused and determined: to be the best architect for people who wish to collaborate on high quality, beautiful, impactful and sustainable architectural projects that add positively to life now and in the future. We've stayed true to that mission for the last ten years, crafting bespoke architectural design for our clients who inspire us, businesses, institutions, and individuals. At Modus Architects, we take pride in the buildings we design. We create highly usable spaces tailored entirely to your requirements – from planning permission to architectural and interior design. Our passion for quality, eye for detail and commitment to every customer’s total satisfaction with each individually created building sets us apart. We are committed to excellence and, to this end, maintain ISO quality management accreditation, and RIBA chartered architectural practice.
Who are we
Modus Architects is led by a creative duo comprising artist and interior designer Victoria Humphries and chartered architect Jeremy Humphries. Day to day management is provided by Jeremy Humphries, who owns the practice and is central to its continuing development. Maintaining the design ethos of the practice, Jeremy takes overall responsibility for each design, from the start of the process through to construction.
They operate remotely and collaboratively from the isolated island location of the Isle of Man, providing flexibility in the size and scope of work undertaken. Clients seek out their unique combination of artistic flair, creativity, in-depth local knowledge, hands-on practical experience and professional service.
Modus Architects
Modus Architects believes that the framework for providing clients with high-quality design and service is to ensure that staff are qualified through chartered professional membership and receive ongoing training in both broad and speciality areas.
All staff complete a minimum number of CPD hours each year, following RIBA's new 'Core Curriculum' guidance and the practice's in–house training regime, through a combination of lunchtime seminars from the construction industry, formal instruction and design project reviews within the office, as well as individual study and specialist courses.
